Daniel Limaverde (b. 1991, Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian sound artist, composer, music producer and audio documentarian. His projects often reflect on Brazil's complex cultural landscape, creating connections between sound, history, and contemporary issues. Daniel is the founder of Mafuá, leading innovative audio projects that push the boundaries of storytelling through sound.
His work has been featured in international festivals such as the Sónar Festival (São Paulo), Live Cinema (Rio de Janeiro), and MECA Festival (São Paulo). In 2014, Daniel was selected for the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo, and later received the OneBeat Fellowship, where he premiered his orchestral piece "Largus" at Seattle's St. Mark's Cathedral.

A three-part audio documentary series investigating the socio-economic factors contributing to the decline of samba music as a cultural symbol in Brazil. The podcast blends interviews, archival research, and immersive sound design to explore the political and economic shifts that have affected samba's representation. Daniel directed and produced this critically acclaimed podcast hosted by Cannes-winning actress Fernanda Torres. The show features intimate conversations with Brazilian icons like Gilberto Gil, Marisa Monte, and Pabllo Vittar, exploring the songs that shaped their lives. Daniel handled all aspects of production, including sound design, soundtrack composition, editing, and interview scripting.
Inspired by BBC's Desert Island Discs, the show invites guests to select twelve songs defining key moments in their lives. The first season became one of the most popular podcasts on Deezer in Brazil, earning widespread media coverage and acclaim for its unique approach to biographical storytelling.
